Interquilten opened in March, 2009, with a desire to supply our quilting community with color, creativity, and inspiration! Our wonderful selection of cotton prints, batiks, and hand dyed wool is as unique as our charming little building. When you drive up, its unusual shape will surely peak your curiosity and call you to come inside. The big, rustic wood door swings wide to reveal tall, wood lined ceilings, a stone floor, a fireplace and lots of eye candy in the form of gorgeous fabric, quilts and crafts.
We make it our mission to provide every customer with:
I was born & raised in the Grand Traverse region of Northern Michigan. The women in my family, from my Mom, to my Grandmother and Great Grandmother, have always been creative and entrepreneurial by nature, so I guess that’s where I get it! As a child, I loved to draw, bead, paint rocks, create macramé and paper flowers....
I was in my twenties when I officially caught the sewing bug, suddenly yearning to learn the skill and becoming hopelessly hooked on fabric. A decade later, I started quilting, but still I had no idea what it would eventually lead to!
As with us all, I got wrapped up in the day to day activities of family and career. Yet as I entered my forties, all my pent-up creativity was screaming to be let out! When I finally decided to change my life and chase my passion, I opened InterQuilten...where I enjoy being surrounded by colorful fabric and creative people every day!
