Bring some fabrics from your stash and sew along with us as we make Pat Sloan's Mystery Block of the Month entitled "Children's Library!
We'll provide the pattern and the "clues" for what to prepare for the meeting. We'll all get together each month to create another block, where each block will be a tribute to a favorite childhood book. The blocks are all pieced and the focus is to use up fabric you already own and love! You can even use up some small pieces of fabric. Yes .. It’s a Scrap Happy Mystery!
Choose two main colors and gather up an assortment of prints. Add prints in a couple of neutrals, and you're ready to go!
• Finished quilt is 54” x 64”, but it can easily have borders added to make it larger. • 12” finished size blocks • Variations on 4 colors for the blocks. • Setting is a secret until the 10th month
Block #1 is a tribute to Mother Goose Rhymes. Here's a hint of what it could look like, depending on the fabrics you're using:
|This shows main colors of red and aqua, plus two different grey prints for the neutrals.
