Take Four Placemats

A fun class for anyone who would like to make a great set of placemats!  Select four coordinating fat quarters and a yard of backing fabric, and we'll cut, shuffle, and combine them to make a set of four.  This class is beginner friendly, too!

Supply List:
4 Coordinating Fat Quarters (We suggest one focus print and three smaller scale prints.  Try to include a dark, a medium, and a light.)
1 yard for backing
Thin batting (1 yard, or 4 pieces each 14" x 18")
45mm or 60 mm Rotary cutter with fresh, sharp blade; cutting mat
Long acrylic ruler (i.e. 24" x 6")

Scissors and flat head pins
Sewing machine with a sharp new needle (topstitch, quilting, or microtex needles recommended)

Before coming to class:  Read through the pattern. Prewash and iron all fabrics.  Then trim the four FQs to approximately 18" x 21" each. (Place them all in one stack and trim them together so they are all the same size.  use a square ruler and a long ruler to make sure edges are straight and corners are square.

Class runs from 11am-2pm, so feel free to bring a snack or sack lunch.

Skill Level: Beginner friendly
Requirements: Good working knowledge of how to operate your sewing machine is required before taking this class.
