Machine Applique for Beginners



Choose from 24 different projects!  Learn about fusible web, how to transfer the pattern, cutting and then fusing the design, choose a stitching style and get it done!  These little pieces are perfect for someone new to applique. Each can stand alone, maybe as a mug rug, or group several together as a small wall hanging or table topper.

Supply List
Pattern (included in class fee)
Light Steam a Seam 2 Fusible Web
8" X 8" Precut Fabrics for front and back of block.
8" X 8" Precut piece of batting,
Fabric scrap pieces  for chosen applique design
1 (2 1/4") WOF strip for binding
Various colors of threads to enhance chosen applique design.
Sharp Scissors
Fine Point pen or marker for tracing
Walking Foot
New sewing needle (Topstitch, Microtex or Quilting needle) size 80/12
Pins
Make an extra 8" x 8" sandwich block (Backing, batting, top fabric) for practicing blanket & zigzag stitches and testing tension settings.
Please also bring your sewing machine manual.
