Beginner Quilt Making
In this class, you will learn essential rotary cutting techniques, proper pressing methods & piecing; Find your 1/4 inch seam and strip-piece blocks; Stitch the blocks together and apply borders; Layer, baste and machine quilt; learn about binding.
This class meets 4 weeks, for three hours each. There is no class on Dec. 26. This is a hands-on class. Weekly homework is required to be completed before you arrive for the next week's class.
Before taking this class, you must know how to operate your sewing machine and be able to stitch a straight line, wind bobbins, thread your machine, change the needle, adjust the thread tension, change stitch length/width, and know-how to change needle position if the machine allows it.
