Paper piecing, also known as foundation piecing, is a technique for creating shapes, angles, and sharp points that can't be done using regular piecing techniques. The Vintage Kite quilt block is from a past era, but stitching it with this foundation paper is a completely new experience.

Add-a-quarter ruler
6 1/2 " ruler
1 1/2" X 12" ruler
Fork pins
Acorn precision piecing
Rotary cutter and small mat
finger press
Scissors, pins, water soluble glue pen or glue stick (I don't use the glue)
Sewing machine with new sharp needle installed; and manual
Thread 50wt-80wt
Homework: Please have your fabric cut it is all the same size 3 1/2" X 4 1/2" Look at your pattern on the tablet and have enough fabric cut for at least 3-4 blocks
You will learn the technique and then you will do the project on your own.
