Landscape Art Quilts

This is an intermediate class, and it's recommended that you have experience (or at least some practice) with free motion quilting before taking this class.

In this class, you will be creating a unique impressionist style art quilt with batiks, select prints, and tulle. Starting with the inspiration photo you choose in the next step, we will create a kit of fabrics for you to use in the class.

You'll learn about using color temperature, scale and placement to give your art quilt wonderful depth and distance.  Once the fabrics are placed we will use free motion quilting to further add dimension and hold everything together.

Please read the supply list carefully and look at the included photo options.  We suggest that you print the supply list out or come in and get a printed version at the shop.

All students need to arrive 10 minutes before class time, having batting and backing already cut. Consult the supply list for additional information.

Feel free to bring a drink, as long as the container has a top. You can choose to bring a lunch or go out to grab something to eat during our lunch break.
