Beginner Quilt Making 102
Let's add a couple of new skills to your beginner's toolbox: "Half square triangles" and "Sew and flip corners"! This quilt finishes to 42" x 54", and is a wonderful way to show off a couple of large scale prints.
Supply List:
Sewing Machine in good working order with new needle. Bring the manual.
¼” piecing foot and a walking foot for your machine.
Good quality cotton thread: 50 wt Mettler or Aurifil recommended. Bring a full bobbin.
Scissors, pins.
Rotary Cutter, cutting mat.
Acrylic Ruler, one at least 24” long; one square ruler, 6" or larger is optional, but very helpful. Quilter’s Select brand highly recommended.
1 yard each of 3 quilt shop quality fabrics: Two focal prints (medium to large scale); A print the background (recommend you choose a blender or solid with good contrast to the focal prints).
