Dynamic Dresdens

• Dresden Ruler: 18 degree ruler or Dynamic 30 degree ruler or CG 30 degree ruler OR a template made from template plastic according to the instructions in the book.
• 2 colors of fabric for the Dresden:  3/8 yd each if making a 30 degree Dresden, or  ½ yd each if making the 18 degree Dresden.
• Accent color ¼ yd.
• 5/8 yd of plain/solid fabric or muslin for the underlayment, prepared. *
• Sewing machine, ¼” foot and the machine’s manual.
• Pencil, rotary cutter, mat, thread and basic sewing supplies.
• Glow Line Tape is helpful.

The following preparation must be done before arriving for class:

• Using the fabrics selected for the Dresden, cut width of fabric strips and sew strip sets together per directions on page 68 of the book.
• Starch the underlayment fabric so that it is fairly stiff.  I used Best Press and applied it 4 separate times, pressing in between. You could also use Acorn Easy Press spray or Terial Magic.
