Quilt as you go: Curvacious

With a project like this one, you actually quilt the runner while you piece it! When you finish piecing, it's already quilted and ready for binding! The Curvacious Table Runner's finished size is 13in x 54in.  Be sure to choose fabrics with contrast to get the WOW! factor of those curves.  You'll need six fabrics for the front - try a variety of prints in two colors with high contrast. Or, Select 3 prints of a single color and three different colors for the other three prints, making sure they each contrast with the first color!

Curvacious Pattern
6 fat quarters for front of runner 
7/8 yard for backing *
1/2 yard for binding
17" x 58" batting (piece together or purchase 1 5/8 yds to make 2 runners)
1/2 yard fusible web
Sewing machine with walking foot, a fresh topstitch needle, and manual
Long acrylic ruler, marking tool to mark on batting

* Cutting and preparation required before class:
Fabric A (center) Cut one 9" square 
Fabrics B through F: From each fat quarter cut  two 3 1/2" X 12" and two 3 1/2" X 9" Pieces
Also bring the remainder of the FQs to class.
Cut backing in half lengthwise (i.e. along the fold) and piece together on the short ends.
If your batting is not long enough, use batting seam tape to put 2 sections together.
Trace 24 curve units on the paper side of your fusible, or come a few minutes early to use our lightboard to trace before class
