That’s right. The Creative Grids Hexie Trim Tool not only cuts Hexagons, it also has all of the markings needed to create log cabin hexies. This version was cut from fat eighths, but if you have a stash, this is an obvious choice!

The holes drilled 1/4-inch away from each corner of the trim tool makes sewing those “Y” seams a piece of cake!

Tip: Eliminate the math by cutting the strips using the center line on any of the Creative Grids 3-1/2 inch wide rectangles. This white line is at the 1-3/4 inch mark, the width of the strips needed for this tool.
